PROFILE

After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Kyoto University in 1980, Yosuke Yago joined Japan Kokan Co., Ltd. He received a Master of Science from the Sloan School at MIT in 1992. In 1996, he was seconded to National Steel as an assistant to the CEO. He joined GE in 1999 and has held positions as HR manager in several businesses, mainly in Asia. In 2012, he was appointed Executive Vice President of LIXIL Group, Inc. In 2017, he established People First Inc. and became its CEO. He is an outside director of TBS Holdings, Inc., an auditor of GE Healthcare Japan K.K., and a director of IWNC, Inc.
Throughout his career, he has worked in human resources where he consistently implemented organizational and company transformations. Currently, he is actively promoting a wide range of projects, such as management reform, personnel reform, executive coaching, development of human resources and business leaders, and support for promoting diversity. He is the author of "The Vision of Strategic Human Resources."
