Who can participate in this conference?

A

Anyone who agrees with the purpose of the conference and has a high desire to improve themselves is welcome to participate, regardless of gender or age. Over 20% of the participants are male. Don't sit back and watch; engage enthusiastically throughout the day for your own learning and growth.

Who are the participants?

A

Our participants are mainly businesspeople, including corporate professionals, doctors, lawyers, civil servants, managers, diplomats, and other highly motivated people from all over the country and overseas who want to learn about and "experience" diversity, regardless of their position. Most are Japanese, but people from about 20 other countries also attend. In addition, there are exceptional junior high and high school students who save their pocket money and participate on their own, and there are also students who participate with the support of working adults through the Matching Sponsor program. Anyone with high aspirations is welcome to participate.

Do you offer simultaneous interpretation?

A

Yes we do. The conference will be held in Japanese and English. If you would like to have simultaneous interpretation of one of the languages, please be sure to select the “Receiver required" box on the registration form. We will reserve a Japanese-English simultaneous interpretation receiver only for those who have reserved on make a reservation at the time of application. Simultaneous interpretation through a receiver is only available for plenary sessions. The Roundtables have specific themes and are held only in English or only in Japanese, so please select your preferred language and theme.

Who cannot attend the ICWB?

A

Those who are in the business of recruiting and mediating as well as those who are planning events and teaching mediation. Any sales and solicitation activities at the ICWB are strictly forbidden.

Is it possible for my company to become a Partner of the ICWB?

A

Yes. We welcome new Partners. If your company agrees with the purpose of the ICWB and is enthusiastic about promoting diversity management inside the company, we invite you to apply to become a Partner. Can companies send their employees to the ICWB for training purposes?

A

Yes. Many companies send a group of employees to the ICWB to further their training in diversity management. To benefit fully from the experience, we ask that the companies choose only those who are enthusiastic about participating full day for their own learning. When employees take this opportunity to participate in order to "feel firsthand" what diversity is, the depth of the training and learning is enhanced. It's a conference like no other.

Do you offer online streaming?

No. It will be held only at the hotel venue, and there will be no online streaming.

Is it possible to watch it in the archive?

A

No. The only way to experience the ICWB is to attend and participate at the venue.

Can I post the contents of the meeting on SNS?

Yes. We want many people to know the value of the ICWB, so please share your own experiences, impressions, and learnings. However, please be aware that the copyright belongs to the speakers and ewoman. Not only in the plenary session, but also in the Roundtable Sessions, the content of each lecture is copyrighted by the speaker, so it is a copyright violation to write about the content or distribute a summary. It is also prohibited to write about other participants in the venue. Please share your own learning and excitement.

Audio and video recording is prohibited, but we encourage you to post photos to SNS that vividly express the atmosphere of the ICWB in which the people are smiling.

Can I stay at the hotel?

A

Yes. The venue, Grand Nikko Daiba, has prepared a special accommodation package for all participants this year. We hope that you will take this opportunity to enjoy the wonderful hotel in Odaiba, and that you will be able to participate in the morning with plenty of time to spare and enjoy the networking in the evening. About the meals

Are meals provided?

A

Yes. A seated course lunch will be served during the main Plenary session. Please enjoy your meal while networking with the others seated at your table. In the evening, there will be a delicious buffet dinner and beverages at the Networking Party. These two meals are included in the participation fee. Please enjoy the wonderful cuisine of Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba.

Can those with allergies order special meals?

A

Since it is a seated lunch with unreserved seats, we would appreciate it if you could understand that we cannot accept special requests. However, if you have severe allergies, please contact the Secretariat directly from the e-mail address listed in the reply email at the time of application and we will do our best to accommodate you.

About the Program

When will the program be announced?

A

We will start announcing the speakers in March, and gradually release the program content from April onward. You can be sure that the Program will be outstanding; the ICWN has had a satisfaction rating of about 99% for each of the past 30 years. (Please note that the Program is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and that there is no refund in case of change.)

When should I choose the "Roundtable"? Is it possible to change it on the day?

A

In late June or early July, we will send an email to those who have already paid the participation fee and ask them which Roundtable they would like to attend, so please choose. You can change it on the day, but please note that there may be no seats.
Five Roundtable discussions will be held without interpretation; three themes will be covered in Japanese and two themes in English. Of the 70 minutes, about 30 minutes are devoted to the discussion with only the speakers. The second half of the session lasted for about 30 minutes, including a Q&A session with the participants. The last 10 minutes are scheduled for closing.

Do you have time to network with other participants?

A

Yes. Meeting other participants that share your high aspirations is one of the most treasured aspects of the ICWB. There is plenty of time for it; from 9:00 a.m. to the opening of the event, during the lunch, and at the evening Networking Party.
Of course, soliciting, recruiting, and making instructor requests is strictly prohibited. If you are approached or notice such activity, please notify the Secretariat. We aim to provide an environment in which everyone is relaxed and open to learning.

When should I register?

A

Please register and pay as soon as possible. You must complete your registration and payment, at the very latest, by Saturday, July 12, 2025, the day before the ICWB. In addition, the hotel has planned the meals so last-minute applicants may be served a different meal.

Is it possible to make a lump sum payment for multiple people?

A

Yes. Please use the "Apply for multiple people" button (only available in Japanese) to apply for and pay for two or more people at once, such as family, friends, and company employees. Can I reserve a seat?

A

All seats are unreserved except for "Matching Sponsors" and the students they are supporting and our corporate Partners. Every year there is a line from around 8 a.m., so you can choose your favorite seat as soon as the doors open at 9 a.m. The participants don’t stand in line passively; they are exchanging business cards and making new friends.

What do I need to bring on the day?

A

We will send a participation certificate QR code to those with confirmed participation fees, so please make it ready to display or print it out before coming to the venue. In addition, you will be asked to take two business cards at the reception, so please bring them with you. Bring plenty of cards to exchange with those you meet.

What is the dress code?

A

Business casual is recommended. It’s nice to be able to remove/add a jacket or sweater to ensure you are comfortable if you find the temperature too cool/warm.

Is it possible to join or leave in the middle of the session?

A

You can leave in the middle of the ICWB, but we have a story to tell from morning to night, so please stay for the full experience. Learning from diverse perspectives in the Plenary hall, interactive discussions with participants divided into five themes, and a Networking Party in the evening. We would like you to experience all of these.

Can I cancel or obtain a refund after payment?

A

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we cannot offer a refund. If you are unable to participate, it is possible to ask someone you know to participate on your behalf. In that case, please inform the Secretariat in advance of the name, e-mail, and mobile phone number of yourself and the person who will attend instead of you.
Those who participate on behalf of others will also be asked to fill out a new application form.

Is it okay to distribute flyers and to scout talent at the venue?

A

No, both are prohibited. If you want to promote your company, please apply to be a Partner so you can promote your company and goods in a booth.
Since the conference is open to everyone, the ICWB Secretariat does not guarantee the credibility of all participants. We cannot take any responsibility for any trouble between participants. Please use your own best judgment.

Is it possible to ask the speakers to give lectures?

A

If you would like to invite the speakers or any celebrities that you met at the venue to your company at a later date, please contact us. Our company is also in the business of lecture planning and training, so we will arrange it.
