PROFILE
Touko Shirakawa was born in Tokyo and graduated from Futaba Gakuen, a private school, and Keio University Faculty of Letters, with a major in sociology. She then earned an MBA from the Chuo Business School (Strategic Management Professional Degree Program.)
After working for a trading company and a foreign company, she began writing. In 2008, she published "The Age of Marriage Hunting" with Chuo University professor Masahiro Yamada, sparking a marriage hunting boom. She serves as a specialist member of the Gender Equality Council Expert Committee of the Cabinet Office Gender Equality Bureau and as an expert member of the Cabinet Secretariat's Work Style Reform Realization Council. Her themes include declining birthrates, work style reform, women's participation in society, gender, and diversity management.
Her books include "The Boundary of Harassment: Men Confused by Sexual and Power Harassment" (Chuko Shinsho Lacre), "Unworking Men are Ruining Your Company: A Prescription for Middle-Aged Talent to Thrive" (PHP Shinsho).
