PROFILE

Yoshihiko Miyauchi was born in 1935 in Kobe, Japan. He graduated from the School of Commerce at Kwansei Gakuin University in 1958. In 1960, he earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Washington University and joined Nichimen Corporation (now Sojitz Corporation). In 1964, he joined Orient Leasing (now ORIX Corporation). He was appointed Director in 1970, President and Group CEO in 1980, and Chairman of the Board and Group CEO in 2003. In 2014, Mr. Miyauchi assumed the position of Senior Chairman, his current role. Throughout his career, he has served in numerous key positions, including Chairman of the Council for Regulatory Reform. He also serves as President of the Board of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, among other roles.
