PROFILE

Ms. Takakura joined the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1983. In 1990, she won a Fulbright Scholarship to Georgetown University in the U.S, where she earned an MBA in 1992.
From 1993, she worked at Sanwa Research Institute where she consulted on organizational restructuring and human resource development for restructuring and new businesses.
She joined Pfizer's Human Resources Department as director in 1999 and then moved to Novartis Pharma's Human Resources and Organization Department as director in 2006. In 2014 she was named general manager of the global human resources department at Ajinomoto, where she established and deployed a global human resources system. In 2020, she moved to Rohto Pharmaceutical as HR advisor and head of the well-being management division, and in 2022, was named chief human resources officer.

Ms. Takakura has served as an outside director and chair of the Sustainability Committee of NGK Spark Plug since 2022, and was named an outside director at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and at Nomura Real Estate Holdings, Inc. in 2023.
She is engaged in strategic human resource management with a view to the future management direction of the company, and promotes diverse next-generation human resource development.
