PROFILE

As a student, Hiromi Muto mainly studied automotive driver assistance systems and predictive control and AI in order to incorporate the skills of skilled engineers into computers.
At NEC Corporation (NEC), as a system engineer,
she worked on the development of demand chain management systems (DCM) and logistics-related systems, mainly for the retail industry. She switched to a sales position, where she was mainly in charge of logistics companies and handled a wide range of systems from information systems to on-site systems. With this experience, Ms. Moto was named to lead a newly established division to launch new business in the transportation and logistics fields. From April 2023, she is in charge of planning new business in the mobility field.

Ms. Muto holds a master’s degree in systems and control engineering and is a
certified logistics technology manager (Japan Institute of Logistics Systems).
