Fusae Nara

Ms. Fusae Nara graduated from International Christian University with a BA and MA in Public Administration. She worked in the Legal Department of JVC before graduating from Hofstra University School of Law in New York, where she won the Robin Dana Cohen Award for outstanding female students.
After federal judicial clerkship and working for another law firm in New York, she joined Pillsbury Winthrop LLP as an associate in 1998, where she was made partner in 2002.
She specializes in customs and international trade matters under the NAFTA and WTO Agreements before government agencies such as the U.S. Customs Service, the Department of Commerce, International Trade Committee (ITC), etc. She also prosecutes customs and international trade litigation in the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court. She has also investigated Japanese TV sets and flat panel displays in anti-dumping disputes, and represented clients in commercial litigation, including product liability class actions, former World War II POW class actions, anti-trust claims related to intellectual property rights disputes, and breach of contract disputes.
She lives in New York with her Japanese husband and 9-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, both of whom were born in the United States.
