Fumino Iwamura
Lecturer of Korean at Shizuoka University
Ms. Fumino Iwamura majored in Korean at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and contemporary Korea and Inter-cultural communication at the Department of International Relations, Graduate School University of Shizuoka. She worked for Imperial Hotel, the Korean National Tourism Organization, lectured in business practices, and worked in research at the Shizuoka Prefectural Women's Center, before moving to Korea from 1998 to 2002. In Korea she taught Japanese at Universities in Seoul, conducted research and translated various government publications. She currently teaches Korean at Shizuoka University and closely follows East Asian language policies, intercultural education, and gender issues.
She is also an administrative member of WISH, an Internet network for women in Shizuoka, and has a son in junior high school.
