Koichi Ito

Since completing a doctorate at the Division of Humanities of the Hosei University Graduate School where he specialized in philosophy, Mr. Ito has been actively involved as a certified tax accountant, Hosei University lecturer and CFP. In 1993, based on an aim to "support people's life planning from the economic perspective", Mr. Ito established an independent financial planning group called "Life Plan Club". Along with 60 or so club members across Japan, Mr. Ito provides money-related advice and holds life planning seminars for companies and labor unions. He also answers questions received from readers in a section of Recruit's money magazine "Arujan", writes for YAHOO! FINANCE, MSN Money and So-net Money. Apart from currently working as an advisor for the FP Consulting Section of Sony, Mr. Ito teaches part-time at Hosei University (philosophy), Toyo University (life planning theory) and Waseda University Extension Center (personal finance theory), and conducts seminars at the Bank of Japan and other financial institutions. Mr. Ito is Director of Japan Association for Financial Planners. Television programs that Mr. Ito appears in include "An Encyclopedia on What Exists: (Fuji Television), "Hanamaru Market" (TBS) and "Money wise" (Bloomberg TV). He contributes articles to a number of magazines. Written works include "An Introduction to Wise Money Planning" (Nikkei BP Soft Press). Mr. Ito is also Editor in Chief of "Invest life".
