Chie Toriumi is currently Deputy President of Nomura Securities and Senior Managing Director of Nomura Holdings serving as Head of Content Company, Group Sustainability and Financial education.

Prior to assuming her current role in July 2020, Ms. Toriumi was in charge of Retail Business Strategy. From April 2014 to March 2018, she was President and CEO of Nomura Trust and Banking and Senior Managing Director of Nomura Holdings responsible for the banking business of Nomura Group. She also served as Senior Managing Director of Nomura Holdings in charge of Group Strategy from 2011 to 2014.

Ms. Toriumi joined Nomura in 1989 and has held several positions in various groups within the firm, including the New Products Development Group in Equities and the Corporate Finance Group.

Ms. Toriumi holds a B.A. in Law from Waseda University, and an MBA from Stanford University. Ms. Toriumi is also certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
