Yuka Shigesawa previously worked at a foreign-affiliated IT company for over 30 years, where she was responsible for strategy and developing IT-related offerings and quality assurance and various role including sales. She later served as president of a post-M&A Japanese subsidiary and as head of system outsourcing for a global company.

Having joined NEC in July 2020, she was appointed to her present roles in April 2024. Currently, she is responsible for the DX Platform business, including hybrid cloud and related managed services (outsourcing, operation, maintenance). As Chief Diversity Officer, she also leads NEC Corporation’s Inclusion & Diversity initiatives.
