PROFILE

In 1985, Tomoko Nagano joined the announcement department of Fuji Television Corporation. She moved to the United States in the fall of 1995. At the graduate school of New York University, she studied the influence of the media on human beings and history, earning a Master’s in "Media Environmental Studies" in May 1999. In April 2000, she was named anchor of "The Scoop" (TV Asahi). Ms. Nagano worked as an anchor for a number of shows, such as "The Scoop", "Mr./Ms. Station", and "News Station SUNDAY" before her current role in which she stars in her own show, the "Tomoko Nagano Update". She is a member of the board of directors of the Japan Association for UNHCR.
