Hinako Kijima

G7 Youth Delegate for Japan

PROFILE

Hinako was born in 1997 in Gunma, Japan. At the age of 12, she flew by herself to the UK and spent 9 years in the UK completing secondary and tertiary education. Hinako participated in the 20th ICWB with the support of a matching sponsor when she was 18 years old. After completing her studies, she went back to Japan and joined the Bank of Japan (central bank), and has worked there for almost 4 years primarily in areas of international finance and prudence policy. Hinako represented Japanese youth at the Youth 7 summit in Rome, Italy, as the delegate for Inclusion & Equal Opportunities Track and presented policy recommendations to the G7 heads of states. Her career goal is to improve Japan's presence in the world to creative positive impact.

Hinako holds BSc in Politics from King's College London, MPhil in Education policy from University of Cambridge (Queens' College), and MSc in Finance from London Business School.
