After working for a publishing company and working as a full-time housewife, Aya Ito joined Recruit Co., Ltd. in 2000. In 2011, she became the editor-in-chief of Zexy, and in 2014, the general manager of the Media Production Department of the Bridal Business Division. In 2015, she was named general manager of the Diversity Promotion Department of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., and in 2016, the general manager of the Social Enterprise Promotion Office (currently the Sustainability Transformation Department). In 2019, she was appointed General Manager of the VMS Promotion Division of Sophiamedi Co., Ltd., and president and CEO in February 2022. All of her roles have involved corporate sustainability management, ESG, marketing, diversity, and human resource development.
