Masato Arisawa joined Kyowa Bank (now Resona Bank) in 1984. He was sent by the bank to complete an MBA in the United States, after which he worked mainly in human resources and corporate planning. In 2004, Mr. Arisawa joined HOYA Corporation as Human Resources Director, where he implemented a universal company-wide job classification system and personnel assessment system, and was the Executive Director of the Nominating Committee and Compensation Committee within the company where he created a global succession plan that transcended the boundaries of the business divisions.
In 2008, Mr. Arisawa joined AIU Insurance as the Director of Human Resources and worked with the head office in New York to build a job grading system and evaluation system unique to Japan. In January 2012, Mr. Arisawa joined Kagome Co. Ltd. as a special advisor where he built a universal companywide human resources system. In October 2012 he was named Director of Human Resources, and in 2018, managing director and chief human resources officer with global responsibilities. In October 2023, he was named managing executive officer and president of Kagome Axis Co., Ltd.
