Dr. Jun Suzuki was born in Tokyo in 1958 and attended the University of Tokyo where he earned a B.A. in the faculty of Science in 1981 and an M.S. in Zoology in 1983. Upon graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1983, he joined Teijin Limited. While he worked at Teijin, he earned his Ph.D. in Medical Science from Osaka University in 1996.

Dr. Suzuki was appointed General Manager of Bio-medical Evaluation Research Department of Pharmaceutical Discovery Research Laboratories in 2002, and then served as general manager of various departments up until 2009. He then became the Teijin Group Chief Representative in Europe and President of Teijin Holdings Netherlands B.V. in 2011. The following year, he was appointed Teijin Group Corporate Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Director of BRICs Business. In April 2013, he was appointed Teijin Group Executive Officer and concurrently became a Member of the Board in June of the same year. Dr. Suzuki has been president and CEO of Teijin Limited since 2014.
