Lucy Craft

PROFILE
Since 2005, Lucy Craft has been a TV/radio reporter and producer focusing on politics, economy, and culture in Asia for the Tokyo Bureau of CBS News, a major American broadcaster. From 1982-2004, she was a Tokyo-based freelance reporter-producer. Her stories have been broadcast on NPR, PBS, and BBC and published in Nikkei Shimbun, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and National Geographic. Earlier in her career, Ms. Craft worked for the State News Service, The Washington Star newspaper, And United Press International, with stints as a wire service reporter, editorial assistant, and freelance reporter.
Ms. Craft earned a BA in history from the University of Maryland in 1978. She completed an intensive Japanese language course at Cornell University in 1982 and then earned a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University in 1990.
