Fumiko Kawashima is a graduate of Nippon Fukushi University with degree a in social welfare. After graduation, she worked in the medical welfare industry for many years. From the experience of losing her father with cancer, she got to know "home healthcare". She founded CloudClinic Inc. with the concept to simultaneously tackling two issues: to reduce office work which is a burden on doctors, and to help female healthcare providers who left their jobs due to childbirth and other issues to form and enhance their careers by providing various opportunities. Cloud Clinic provides outsourcing services that utilize Cloud technology. Fumiko was awarded the 6th DBJ Female New Business Plan Competition Women Entrepreneurs Award sponsored by the Japan Development Bank.
