PROFILE
Ambassador Ndiyoi Mutiti holds a BA in Public Administration and Economics from University of Zambia (1983), an M. A. in Records Management and Archives Administration from University College London (1988) and has completed several short courses in migration management.
She began her career in 1983 as an assistant archivist at the National Archives and held positions of increasing responsibility before being named director in 1995. She left the National Archives to join the Ministry of Home Affairs as assistant secretary. After a stint as chief immigration officer from 2002-2008, she served as permanent secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs. After accepting her first ambassadorship to Zimbabwe in 2012, she was named ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to Japan in August 2015.

Ambassador Mutiti served on numerous boards and committees of public and quasi-governmental agencies from 2006-2011. She speaks English, Lozi, Tonga, Bemba, and Nyanja. In her free time, she enjoys music, golf, and the arts.
