Yoshimi Kobe joined Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. in 1995. After working as a field supervisor for custom-built single-family houses and condominiums, she became field supervisor for the Apartment Building (rental housing) section in 2008. In 2017, she became the first female in the company to be named Chief of a Section of the Rental Housing Construction Division.

Ms. Kobe is certified as a first-class architect and first-class building operation & management engineer. She is also the mother of two.
