Ms. Muramatsu began working for Texas Instruments Japan, the US semiconductor manufacturer in 1983. Having worked in its finance and external affairs departments, Ms. Muramatsu was subsequently placed in charge of PR and corporate communication in the company's Communications department. Since 1999, she has been manager of the Communications department and a member of the corporate strategic leadership team. Ms. Muramatsu has held her current position since November 2003. She is currently promoting the establishment of an ethical (corporate) culture based on "integrity," which has been the company's philosophy from the time of its founding.
Ms. Muramatsu was born in Tokyo. She is married and has a fifteen-year-old daughter.
