In April 2021, Takayuki Morita was appointed President and CEO of NEC Corporation.

In the same year, Mr. Morita announced the new "2025 Mid-Term Management Plan" and released "NEC 2030VISION," the roadmap toward the realization of NEC's Purpose (raison d'etre).

During his nearly 40-year career at NEC, Mr. Morita has been extensively involved in NEC’s overseas business and in numerous M&A and other business portfolio transformation projects. He has led many initiatives, including the reorganization of the semiconductor business, the establishment of a joint venture in the PC business, and the acquisition of a consulting firm.
