Shie Lundberg

PROFILE
Shie Lundberg earned a degree in sociology from the University of Tokyo before joining Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc. as a strategy consultant where she was involved in formulating strategies for IT and consumer corporations within Japan and abroad.
In 1999 she was selected as a Fulbright scholar and after receiving an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, she joined Merrill Lynch Japan Securities. Working for the investment banking arm of the company for three years, she was an advisor in the area of M&A and equity finance.
In 2004 Ms. Lundberg moved to Silicon Valley, California with her husband and started work as Senior Director of Strategy and Business Development at a local publishing company. She then joined the e-commerce venture, Nextag as Senior Product Manager and then was named Country Manager for Japan and joined the Board of Directors for Nextag Japan. Ms. Lundberg joined Google in 2013 and returned to Japan with her husband and son to serve as Head of Partner Operations, APAC at Google. She received the Google Great Manager Award in 2014. After leading the Google Play & Android Trust & Safety team for over 4 years at Google’s headquarters in the US, she transferred recently to oversee the Privacy Governance Operations for Google’s various products and services.
Ms. Lundberg addressed the 19th, 20th, 21st and 25th International Conference for Women in Business as well.
Appointed as Executive Advisor for Resona Holdings in September, 2021.
