Asako Osaki is a policy and advocacy expert specializing in gender mainstreaming and empowerment of women and girls. Her primary focus is in mainstreaming gender perspectives into policies and programmes, particularly in the context of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She engages in research, policy development, capacity-building and public awareness raising. As an independent expert, Asako works with diverse partners globally and domestically, including international organizations, ministries, local municipalities, NGOs, academia, media, and the corporate/financial sectors.
