Tracy Gopal

PROFILE
Tracy Gopal has been passionate about Japan for three decades. Prior to Third Arrow Strategies, she spent 15 years in transactions, primarily with EY, where she was a Managing Director in the Capital Markets practice. She later joined ISS, the largest proxy advisor in the world, as the Head of West Coast Research ISS. She has advised C-suite management teams and Boards of Directors on M&A, divestitures, and restructurings and both investors and companies on corporate governance and stewardship matters including proxy policies, governance risk, and effective engagement. She is currently an Executive Director of the Japan Society of Northern California (JSNC) and is Chair/Founder of the JSNC Women's Impact Network. Ms. Gopal graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the Honors Economics Program at the University of Michigan and earned her MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. She holds a Certificate of Training from the Board of Directors Training Institute in Japan. She is fluent in Japanese.
