Asako Aoyama

PROFILE
Asako Aoyama is the CFO of NEC Corporation's global businesses and is responsible for finance organization for APAC, China, Europe, North and South America, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining NEC, she led the reorganizing of the bottling business for Coca-Cola in Japan.
She joined Coca-Cola (Japan) Company, Limited in 2004 and after holding roles in finance and corporate strategy she started up a division to promote M&As. She became a board member and CFO at Tokyo Coca-Cola Bottling Company and was the first Japanese female named to the board of directors in the history of Coca-Cola in Japan. She transformed a traditional accounting organization into a finance organization of global standard after two M&As with listed corporations and consolidations.
Ms. Aoyama started her career at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch after graduating from the business school at Ohio State University. She is an outside board director of Taiyo Holdings Co., Ltd.
Married with 2 children, she enjoys traveling with her family in her free time.
