Seiichi Tominaga
Secretary General, Japan Independent Directors Network
Mr. Tominaga was born in 1968. He got a master degree of Engineering from Kanagawa University and MBA degree from Tama University Graduate School.
Having worked for a communications company for over ten years, he went on to conduct research on corporate governance and independent external directors at Tama University Graduate School. He was involved in establishing the Japan Independent Directors Network ("Shagai -Net") in 2003 and still serves as Secretary General. He also consults for Japanese companies on restructuring, corporate governance, and board meetings.
He has written books such as "Dokuritsu Shagai Torishimariyaku (Independent external directors)" (Shojihomu, 2009) and "Corporate Governance Kaikaku (Corporate Governance Reform of Japanese Companies)" (co-authorship, Toyo Keizai, 2003). He works to spread information through lectures and writing to clear misunderstandings and convey good examples about the reality of independent directors.
