Masaharu Takimura

Papa Food Coordinator
President, Bistro Papa Inc.

Mr. Takimura is a food coordinator who works to spread the concept of "the family is happy when papa cooks." He recommends a lifestyle where the family enjoys dining together; cooking together with children and incorporating recipes for grown-up tastes by adding spices afterward.
As the only "Papa Food Coordinator" in Japan, Mr. Takimura holds cooking classes and seminars, writes articles for the media, and appears on TV and radio shows, including the NHK show "Mainichi Suku Suku." He also collaborated with Shinzaburo Hanpu to create aprons and "little helper" children's aprons and operates the Bistro Papa Online Shop, working to spread and raise awareness of "papa cooking" through his many activities.
He is the President of Bistro Papa Inc., an employee of NPO Fathering Japan, a member of the NPO Japan Food Education Association, and a food education instructor.
His book titled "Kazoku to Tabetai Papa Gohan (Papa's Recipes: Your Family's Favorite)" (Magazine House) will be published in September 2010.
Mr. Takimura is a native of Kyoto and currently lives in Kanagawa prefecture with his wife and two daughters.
