PROFILE

Renge Jibu

Ms. Jibu was born in 1974 and graduated the Faculty of Law at Hitotsubashi University in 1997. She worked as a reporter for an economic magazine at a publisher belonging to a newspaper group.
She was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan for one year from 2006. During this time, she researched documents and conducted interviews about the participation of American men in childcare and housework and the impact on their wives' careers. This culminated in her English report "How American Men's Participation in Housework and Childcare Affects Wives' Careers". She also authored "Kasegu Tsuma, Sodateru Otto: Fufu no Senryakuteki Yakuwari Kokan: America-jin 52-nin no Work, Life, Balance (Breadwinning wives and child caring husbands: strategic exchange of gender role between couples, 52 Americans' work and life balance)" (Keiso Shobo).
