Takako Ebata

Member of the House of Representatives
Member, Committee on Education, Culture and Science, House of Representatives
Director, Deliberative Council on Political Ethics, House of Representatives

Upon graduating from Yokohama National University in 1982, Ms. Ebata worked for Fujitsu Limited developing financial systems. In 1992, she received the Master of Science in Management from the Sloan School of Management, MIT and became a consultant for McKinsey & Company. In 1998, she joined Amgen, but resigned due to family obligations in 2003. And she worked as the Associate Professor of Public Relations Office, the University of Tokyo and then, as the Outside Director of Astellas Pharma Inc. At present she is the member of the House of Representatives (elected in 2009 general election).
