Waichi Sekiguchi
Editorial Writer, Business News Department, NIKKEI, Inc.
Mr. Sekiguchi entered NIKKEI (Nihon Keizai Shimbun) Inc., upon graduating from Hitotsubashi University in 1982. He studied at Harvard University as a visiting Fulbright Research Scholar in 1988-89. After working as a chief writer for The Nikkei Weekly (English edition of NIKKEI), he served as a correspondent in Washington, D.C. from 1990 to 1994. He has been a senior staff writer of the Business News Department since 1996 and became an editorial writer in 2000, mainly covering computer and telecommunications. He is a visiting professor at the Hosei University Graduate School and at the Global Communication Center for International University. He also teaches at Waseda University and Meiji University as a part-time instructor. He wrote books entitled as "Pioneers of the PC Revolution" (Nihon Keizai Shimbun), "How to investigate information" (Nihon Keizai Shimbun) and co-authored "Cyber Space Revolution" (Nihon Keizai Shimbun), "Modern Times 2001" (Nikkei BP.), etc.
