Chinami Sugiyama
Athletic Trainer
Vice President, Ribbon Project K.K.
Ms. Sugiyama was born in 1962. She graduated from the graduate school at University of Virginia. As an athletic trainer, she is officially certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA-USA) and the Japan Sports Association (JASA). She is also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-USA) as a specialist.
Ms. Sugiyama is a Ph.D. candidate at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and is currently writing her dissertation on the relationship between athletes' body structure and their performance. She has been involved in preparations to establish NPO Ataminchu Club in Atami City, an organization which aims to support athletes.
