Ken Kusunoki
Associate Professor, Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University
Mr. Kusunoki was born in 1964 in Tokyo. After graduating from the Graduate School of Commerce and Management, Hitotsubashi University in 1992, Mr. Kusunoki taught in the undergraduate program of his alma mater as an adjunct professor for four years. He then held an associate professorship in 1996 before moving to the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy in 2000. His specialty is competition strategy and innovation. He actively conducts research on how corporations create their competitive strategy from the corporate capability, innovation, and business architecture perspectives.
He also served as associate professor at the Center of Innovation Studies, Hitotsubashi University, from 1997 to 2000 and as visiting professor at the Graduate School of Management, Bocconi University (Milan, Italy). He is a member of the Organizational Studies Society.
He has co-written several books including "Business Architecture" (2001, Yuhikaku), "Knowledge and Innovation" (2001, Toyo Keizai Shinposha), and "The Power to Create Innovation" (2007, Goma Books). His journals include "Values Culture and Product Concept's Innovation" (2001, Soshiki Kagaku), "The Invisible Discrimination Studies" (2006, Hitotsubashi Business Review), and "Innovation as System's Redefinition" (2008, Hitotsubashi Business Review).
Mr. Kusunoki enjoys music and dancing.
