Sakiko Kon
General Manager of Women's Health Department, Johnson & Johnson Medical Company
After graduating from college in Arizona USA, Ms. Kon worked for a medical treatment tool importer. In 1991 she joined Japan Becton Dickinson, Inc. as a product manager for virus inspection products and was later named marketing director. In 2002 she joined Johnson & Johnson K.K. to help establish the women's health department.
Ms. Kon's department deals with women's health checks and medical tools designed for women. She oversees the sales, marketing, and educational functions for women's medical issues and treatments, such as breast cancer. She is also a leader of Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI), an organization that supports the J&J group's women' s activities in Japan.
Ms. Kon is married and has three children, one in junior high school and two in elementary school.
