Takashi Sawada

Mr. Sawada was born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1957. After graduating from Sophia University in 1981 he joined Itochu Corporation where he was in charge of chemical product sales and distribution projects. He participated in the Ito-Yokado and 7-Eleven project and was involved in the acquisition of 7-Eleven America. In 1997 Mr. Sawada joined Fast-Retailing Co. Ltd, and in six months worked his way from store-manager candidate to managing director of products. He was appointed Executive Vice President of the company in 1998 and contributed greatly to the rapid growth of UNIQLO. In 2003 Mr. Sawada founded and became the president of Kiacon Corporation, before launching Revamp in October 2005 where he remains a managing partner. In his new role, he focuses on promoting the intrinsic strength of client companies via the implementation of business reform.
