Tomoko Sasaki

Ms. Sasaki joined Toshiba after graduating from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. As a member of the Advertising Division, she was predominantly involved in overseas corporate ads and media strategy. She was in charge of planning, website strategies and communication while assigned to the Public Relations Section. Ms. Sasaki transferred to the CSR Division when it was newly established in July 2003. Since then she has been involved in a wide range of CSR activities; environmental issues, customer satisfaction, social contribution and procurement, stakeholder dialogues, and CSR report production.
Toshiba joined the United Nations Global Compact quite early on and has been highly praised for its CSR work. It was named as the top Japanese corporation for CSR management by Newsweek Japan in 2006.
