Mami Ito

Ms. Ito was born in Tokyo, Japan. She was educated at the Seisen International School from preschool to high school, from which she graduated in 1985. She went on to study at the Sophia University Faculty of Comparative Culture, where she majored in Business/Economics.
Upon graduation, she worked as a FM radio and TV personality for eight years. In 1998, she left to study at the internationally renowned Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in California from which she received qualification as a Graduate Gemologist. She also studied jewelry design before returning to Japan.
In March 2000, she succeeded the business her father founded, and became the president of Nihon Dento Kogyo Co., Ltd.
